Terms & conditions
The plain-English rules for ordering from Flintform. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll explain before you order.
Who we are
Flintform is a sole-trader 3D printing service based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us any time at [email protected]. These terms apply to every order placed through flintform.co.uk.
Ordering & payment
The price shown at checkout is the final price — it includes materials, machine time, handling and any selected extras. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and no VAT invoice can be issued. Payment is taken in full when you place your order; we don't start printing until payment has cleared.
Custom items & cancellation
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply to bespoke prints made to your specification — that covers anything printed from a model you uploaded, or made to your choice of material, colour and settings. Once we've started printing a custom item we can't cancel or refund it because you've changed your mind.
Ready-made catalogue items do carry the full 14-day cancellation right. Tell us within 14 days of delivery and return the item unused within a further 14 days; return postage is paid by you. We refund once the item is back with us.
Faulty goods
Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a print arrives damaged, doesn't match its description or has a manufacturing defect, email us within 14 days with photos and we'll reprint it or refund you — your choice. This applies to both custom and catalogue items.
Tolerances
3D printing is precise but not perfect. Printed parts are made to a tolerance of ±0.3 mm or ±0.3% of the dimension, whichever is greater. If your part needs tighter fits, tell us before ordering and we'll advise whether it's achievable.
Special-order filament
When you order a filament we don't stock, we confirm availability with our suppliers within one working day of payment. If we can't source it, we cancel and refund you in full straight away. Supplier delays are outside our control — if a supplier lets us down we'll offer a reprint in the closest alternative filament or a refund.
Your uploads & intellectual property
By uploading a model you confirm you own it or have the right to have it printed. You keep all rights in your designs — we only use your files to produce your order. We refuse orders for items that are unlawful, dangerous or that we reasonably believe infringe someone else's rights.
Liability
Printed parts are supplied for general use and are not certified for safety-critical applications — including medical, load-bearing, food-contact or protective uses. You're responsible for checking a part is suitable before relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Complaints
If something's gone wrong, email [email protected] with your order number and we'll respond within two working days. We'd always rather fix a problem than lose a customer.
