How much does 3D printing cost in the UK?
Less than most people expect: small parts start at £4.50, a phone stand runs a few pounds, and even big decorative pieces are usually tens rather than hundreds. How accurate is the instant quote?
The quote is calculated from your model's actual geometry — volume, surface area and size — plus your material and quality choices. The price you see is the price you pay; it's locked in at checkout.
What file formats can I upload?
STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP and STP, up to 100 MB — all quoted instantly. Send the STEP straight from your CAD package; we mesh it for you, so there's no exporting to STL first.
How long will my order take?
The delivery estimate on your quote is live — it accounts for everything currently in the print queue. Most orders dispatch in 2–4 working days.
Can I order more than one part or copies of a part?
Yes — upload as many files as you like in one order, set quantities per file, and bulk discounts apply automatically from 5 copies (up to 20% off at 50+).
What if my part arrives broken or wrong?
Email us a photo within 14 days and we'll reprint and reship it free of charge. Custom prints can't be returned for change of mind (they're made just for you), but quality problems are always on us.
My part is bigger than the printer — can you still make it?
Yes — our split & join service handles parts up to roughly 600 mm. We section the model, print each piece on the H2D, then bond and finish the joints (or add alignment pins if you'd rather assemble it yourself). It's priced automatically on the quote page when your part is oversized.
I don't have a 3D file — can I still order?
Absolutely. Browse our print ideas for ready-made designs and the best free model sites, or use the custom design service (from £20) and we'll turn your photo, sketch or description into a printable model for you.
Can you print things the quote page rejects?
Often, yes — oversized parts can be sectioned, and tricky geometry can be tuned by hand. Email your file to [email protected] and we'll take a look.
What happens to my design files?
They're used only to print your order — never shared, never added to any catalogue, and deleted on request. Your designs stay yours.
